My work takes a gestural approach to realism in order to explain the way blurry, unremarkable moments can become what we remember most clearly.

These drawings and paintings are my own personal pursuit of honesty and thus are deeply informed by my interpersonal connections, my surroundings in the American south, and my womanhood. Still, each piece toes the line of specificity and ambiguity, allowing room for speculation and connection.

In my own way, I am trying to lay all of this out as clearly as possible.
